How do you remove head rest to replace passenger seat belt guide on 2004 Monte Carlo SS and is the seat belt guide sold as a single part of as part of the whole seat or head rest?

To remove the head rest, lift the head rest all the way up. At the top of the seat, not the head rest, there are 2 plastic pieces that surround the post. On the inner side there are 2 little buttons that you have to push in, one for each post. to release the head rest. Push these both in at the same time and pull the head rest up and out.
Yes, you can purchase just the seat belt guides from any GM dealer, they are about $8.00 each. The guides are held on by little metal O-Rings, which can be removed with needle nose pliers and a small flat screw driver or a pic tool. Work them down, inch by inch on each side or you can just cut them off with side cutters but you will have to buy new O-Rings to re-install the guide.
By the way, the reason I know the above information is because I recently had to replace one on my 2004 Monte Carlo SS
