You need to remove the side marker first. Remove the screw and pull hard perpendicular to the car to remove the side marker. Once that's removed you can see 2 screws on bottom of the headlight/foglight assembly and one screw on the top of the assembly as well as one nut on the side of the light assembly. Remove those screws and nut and you can pull out the whole headlight/foglight assembly. Remove the connector by pulling it straight out. Remove the rubber gasket and the spring lock. Assembly is the opposite.

Then remove the old bulb from the socket and replace it using a clean dry cloth to hold the new light bulb. Install the new bulb into the electrical socket and reinsert the light bulb socket into the back of the Lexus LS400 headlight. Lastly, reattach the access panel with screws. Verify the headlight is working by turning on the headlight switch and checking that the bulb is operating properly. Once it is verified, turn the light switch off.
