you need a special tool but i am not sure my self how to use the quick release tool my self. I am trying to do the same thing my self you can get the kit and the tool on line. but i can't find any directions on how to use the tool.

There are 444 cubic inches in a 7.3 liter powerstroke diesel. The measurement is 1 liter = 61 ci. Which makes a 7.3 = 445, but I am assuming that a 7.3 is a round off of 7.278 liters, since 7.3 is easier to say.

Remove the oil pressure sending unit retaining ring. Remove the wiring harness from the sending unit. Poll the sending unit out of the engine.
Its located on the HPOP under the turbo. It is accessable fro under the truck, it is on the drivers side rear of the engine. You'll need an 1 1/16" socket to remove it.
Look on the lines near compressor. Somewhere si one with a blue cap.
