There are all sorts of sprays for feet and inside shoes in the 'foot care' section of your grocery or drug stores. Also you could use a light spraying of Febreze spray (room spray) LIGHTLY THOUGH inside your shoes and let dry.

The glue smell will soon vanish as the glue cures.
Try leather cleaning spray
You might want to try vinagar (sorry for mis spell) and water. Let the garments sit for a little while. AS long as they are not dry clean! If they are, I don't know on that one.

That musty smell could be coming from mold in the carpet and or it's padding, as basements tend to be damp. You could have the carpet cleaned professionally or clean it yourself with a good carpet cleaner. If this is unsuccessful it may be necessary to replace the carpet padding or both the carpet and it's padding.
