Use a 1 to 1 proportion of laundry bleach to water in a bucket. Soak the shells for at least 2 minutes, rinse well and do not forget to wear gloves and safety glasses. If this is not working, allow the shells to stand in the mix longer. The bleach will eventually remove the odor.

Boil Them , But be very careful they can crack . And keep the water hot but not too hot that if you stick your finger in the water you will burn it . You best bet would be to pour a small amount of scented oil ( any scent ) in . After about 2 minutes of boiling take them out and soak them under cool water for 5 min . make sure water is boiling before you put them in , and only 3 - 4 ( depending on the size - Big or Small ) at a time so they don`t chip or crack . ( WARNING : Don`t burn yourself ) After they are back to their normal temperature put them in a small decorative basket , and ENJOY !
