Remove the cover that look like the gas tank. The rad cap is down there. right side. Remove the 2 plastic covers around the top section, you will find 1 bolt on each side for this cover. Then there are 2 bolts around the small lid, remove them. The gas " tank " will then come off. Gives you plenty of room.
If I remember correctly, the rad. cap in in the lower front corner. If you remove the tray on top of the air filter, look in the front right lower corner.
Fuse box on 1979 Goldwing is in small black box forward of the fuel tank filler cap.
Under the right "shelter"(false tank cover)is the reservoir tank and radiator cap.
on the left front side of engine from undeneath you will see a 10mm bolt with a washer on it remember not drain hot and remove radiator cap too
4.8 us quarts, but check the dipstick when your done, attached to the oil filler cap
Well, if it is a '84, 1200, then there is a dipstick, with a filler cap beside it. Right side, foot brake side. If it is not an '84, and is an '83, 1100, then there is a small window to look in.
To check the antifreeze level on a 1982 Goldwing GL 1100, first ensure the engine is cool for safety. Locate the coolant reservoir, which is typically on the right side of the bike. Open the cap and visually inspect the coolant level; it should be between the "full" and "low" marks. If necessary, add a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and distilled water to reach the appropriate level.
Remove the magazine cap and forearm, then remove the barrel and mag tube. At the end of the tube will be a metal cap that you can carefully pry out with a screwdriver, some press in and turn to remove them. Use caution, it is under spring pressure.
Loosen the screws on the cap and there is a single screw holding the rotor to the shaft
Inside the distributor - remove the cap and you will see it.
You must remove the wheel because there are scews that hold it onto the inside of the wheel.
That is where you add the oil.
