Open the trunk lid. Do the Fosbury flop into the trunk (i.e., land on your back) with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Under each speaker are four black screws that pass through nylon bushings and into the speaker grill covers. Unscrew them. Get out of the trunk and climb into the back seat with a stubby Phillips head screwdriver. Lift the speaker grill covers off. Unscrew the four sheet-metal screws that hold the speakers in place. Pry the speakers out of their sockets. (They have some sealant around the frame.) To remove the electrical connector, you have to squeeze a tab on one side; it took a pair of pliers for me to do this. In the course of doing all this, you'll probably get the foam rubber surround from the speakers on the rear windshield. Clean it off with paint thinner.
