* Remove the ashtray and ashtray holder * Remove the mounting screws lower the radio unplug the electrical connector and antenna lead then pull the radio out of dashboard
You must remove the front of the dash. Everything around the stereo. Very time consuming. Just remember where the parts and all the screws go when you go to put it back together. It is not that difficult. Good Luck.

Take it to a stereo shop, even those guys says its a bugger to get them out so its best left to a pro
remove the cup holder and ashtray assemly ther are two small screws facing upwards remove them and it will come out There're more! Unplug the light of the trash tray, remove tray. Loosen two upward BOLTs at the back. Draw the stereo partially, then fully remove the bolts with hand. Afterwards, remove the stereo.
You can use the 1990 stereo in your 1992 Accord, but the 1998 will not bolt in the correct way.
I have a 91 Accord and found out ( after removing almost the whole dash ) that there are 2 screws up behind the stereo....Basically laid on the floor with my legs up the seat and head under the dash to find it. Hope this helps :D
Remove the decorative stereo cover. Remove the stereo retaining screws. Pull the stereo out. Remove the wiring harness and the antenna cable.
Remove the retaining cover from your stereo. Remove the stereo retaining bolts. Slide the stereo out and remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install your new stereo.

Go to Best Buy! they'll put a new one in for $55 plus the stereo plus parts.
