Remove the sunroof headliner. Pull the flex cable forward until out of the motor. Remove the left(driver’s side) plastic fender panel in the trunk. Disconnect the wires. Take out the mounting screws. Gently separate the flex cable’s tube from the motor/gear assembly.
The sunroof motor on my 83 300SD is in the trunk on the driver's side. Just pull back the carpet panel, and it is right there. You may not know it, but you can manually pull it open and shut through that motor also, just in case it decides to act up on you in a rain storm! haha! I hope this helped you out. There are ways of breathing new life into those old motors also, as long as you can feel the motor getting hot, it is still working. Just regrease the gears, because they are often just locked up, and this goes for the window motors as well.
I believe it is fuse #44 located in the trunk Power Distribution Center
how do you remove armrest from 1994 Lexus gs 300
we have a 1987 e250 with a 300 4.9l efi motor, we replaced the oil pump in it and it was not fun, you need to remove the intake housing (filter and inlet tubs), then depending on the amount of room you have , you will have to remove the intake itself (the top of the motor were the air gos in to the motor) this will give you the extra 4" or so you need to lift the motor !!!!!! (DO NOT FORGET TO REMOVE THE FAN FROM THE WATER PUMP) OR YOU WILL PUNCH A HOLE IN THE RADIATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... THEN YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE MUFFLER PIPE FROM THE MOTOR, (MANIFOLD).. THEN YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE MOTOR MOUNTS FROM MOTOR, (DO NOT LIFT MOTOR FROM OIL PAN!!!!) YOU WILL NEED A FLOOR JACK OF SOME KIND, THE TRICK IS TO LIFT ONE SIDE AT A TIME (USEING A 2X4 12" LONG ) LIFTING AT THE (WERE THE OIL PAN IS BOLTED TO THE MOTOR)SIDE OF THE OIL PAN , LIFTING 3" AT A TIME USEING PIECES OF 2X4S TO PLACE UNDER WERE THE MOTOR MOUNT IS TO HOLD MOTOR, THEN LOWER MOTOR, THEN GO TO OTHER SIDE AND DO THE SAME THING, AS THE MOTOR LIFTS, REPLACE 2X4- WITH 4X4, JUST KEEP LIFTING TILL THE MOTOR REACHES THE TOP OF THE DOG HOUSE .... THE REASON FOR ALL THIS IS TO CLEAR THE CROSS MEMBER.... THE ONLY OTHER WAY TO DO THIS IS TO REMOVE MOTOR FROM VAN, !!!!!BE CAREFULL NOT TO LET MOTOR TURN OVER ON ITS SIDE!!!! GOOD LUCK
Yes
This is a good indication that the motor is being overloaded. If the motor load is belt driven, remove the belt and then check the motor amps. If it goes back to normal FLA then there is a problem with the driven load. If the motor amperage stays high check the motor bearings for the problem.
Heat went out in my 300, what could be the problem
yep
Just did this on 1998 sienna - worth the effort - saved $300 in dealer charges. Recommend ordering new motor from AutoZone or other local auto store. Just tell them make/model and they'll get right part. Instructions that come with motor will provide excellent diagrams and steps to remove/replace motor. Once removed, can return old motor and get core refund. Took 1.5 hrs to remove motor/regulator and 30 mins to replace. Works great.
To remove the glove box on a Chrysler 300 first disconnect the cable and slide it through the hole. The remove the screws and gently pull the box out.
Heats engine faster, turns on heated washer nozzles, mirrors, and seats. Also disables sunroof for snowy conditions.
