* Unlatch the rear seat back and tilt forward * Unhook the outer side belt retractor from the rear seat back * Remove the spacer from the right key pin * Slide the seat back to the right and disengage the left key pin from the left key slot * Slide the seat back to the left and disengage the right key slot from the right key slot * Remove the seat back * Press the seat cushion retainer to the rear with a screwdriver * Lift the seat cushion up and remove it
Try back near the fuel tank. if it is the same as my sunfire it is right behind the gas tank.
Its easier to access it from the top than the bottom!
if you have a 2.2,its mounted in the plastic intake manifold,and has a flex pipe that connects to the back side of the head on the drivers side

Begin by removing the cover from your rear speakers. Remove the rear speaker retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the speaker. The rear speakers will come out.

remove 2 screws and take lite soket out with pliesrs put back same remove 2 screws and take lite soket out with pliesrs put back same
there is a clip on the back side of handle u will need a special tool for that just go to a local automotive shop im sure they will pop it off for u and u can just put the clip back on the handle and push it on ur self when ur done
1996 pontiac sunfire 2.2 crank was moved but cam was not could the timing get out 180 degrees before i put it back together
There is no distributor cap on a Pontiac sunfire, only a coil pack. coil pack is located on the back of the engine.
