Shouldn't have to remove center nut - should be peel off rotors should just have to remove caliper and rotor should slide off center hub
Open Hood. Remove the 2 bolts at the front & the one at the top near the fender, gently slide off the housing assembly( put a rag under it to protect the bumper). Twist off the lights sockets (counterclockwise), don't touch the bulbs glass with your fingers.
The question is why do you think it should? Is there an overheating problem with your Outback?
