The 2003 Kia dashboard trim is held in place with six retaining clips. Pry outward on each retaining clip. The dashboard trim will come off in two pieces.
Why would you be removing the dash. Heater Coil? There is a black box on the passenger side by the firewall. 6 screws and the Heater Coil is in there.

to remove the dash trim around the stero unit, find the screws under the ac/heater controls that are on the trim, to remove the rest of the trim you need to remove the plate around the shifter too, so take the screws out of the shifter's plate. remove the rest of the screws around the trims and you should be able to pull the trim out of place.

to remove your radio you need to remove the dash trim first... remove every screw you can find in the dash trim (plastic trim) most of the screws are on the bottom and near the ashtray the top snaps into place (try pulling downward on the trim after you remove all the screws). once you have this removed, there are 2 screws top and bottom of the radio, remove them and the radio will come out, the rest is easy.....

It is not necessary to remove the dash. Only necessary to remove enough of the trim pieces to get the radio out. If you look carefully you will see what needs to be removed.
