Once it is out now carefully reach your hand to the center in and removed the two hex bolts holding the speaker in. I use either a shorty nut driver or small 1/4' rachet. I believe the bolt is a 3.8".
If you are still having difficulty, you can remove the dash trim and remove the heater controls for easier acess. Custom autosound makes a dual voice coil single speaker to fit the factory slot or Ken Harrison makes a dual speaker setup that has that size template mount. I believe year one also carries these as well as many eBay stores
