in my 99 you have to take the whole door panel off. Just unscrew the door handle on the inside and the little round tab where the door meets the car.
To remove the door panel on your 01-06 Dodge Stratus you would first need to remove the door panel. Then there are two bolts that hold the mirror to the door. You will need an 8MM socket or wrench to remove these from the mirror. I have included an instructional video below that walks you through this entire process. Hope this helps. 1aauto.com
You will need to remove the dash and it should be somewhere under
To remove the window regulator in your 2005 Dodge Stratus, you would need to remove the door panel, and then the water shield behind the door panel. Tape the window into the up position with tape, and then you can access all of the nuts and bolts to remove the window regulator. I have included a link below to an instuctional video that will show you how to do this on a 01-06 Dodge Stratus.

My '01 Monte had this issue. Remove inside door panel. Trace the thin metal rods to the point at which it's binding (verify by operating the lock mechanism). Make SLIGHT bends until it moves freely at the point of contact (only a few millimeters of clearance is needed). Check operation before you re-assemble the door panel.

Use a 5.5 mm socket to remove the three bolts in the panel under the dash, then remove the 2 bolts out of the blower resistor. Disconnect the wire connector, then remove the resistor.
I assume its probably in the same location as my moms 99 beatle and my 01 GTI. When you open the drivers side door, on the side of the dash that meets the door there is a panel, open that. Bingo you have your fusebox =D.

As far as I know, it is no different than it is with any 94 - 01 procedures. First, remove the black plastic cover that is right where mirror controls would be if they are not electric (interior side behind mirror). Next, remove the plastic screw-like mechanism that needs to be unscrewed then carefully pryed out. You should use a door panel removal tool but if you are careful, a screwdriver will work. Next, there are I think 6 or 8 plastic clips around the whole door. Start where the window meets the door by the side with the lock. Carefully pry your way around the door. If an aftermarket stereo was installed, you may need to watch for double sided tape or something of that nature as well. After you beak it loose, you'll want to remove a Phillips screw that goes down into the handle you use to close the door. Pull that out. If you do not have power windows, you need to go through a small procedure to remove the handle from the windows. After this is done, you need to start pulling the door upwards because there is a lip on the back that rests and locks down into the door. If you do have power windows and locks, you need to do this first so you can pull the panel away so that you can unclip the harnasses from the locks and window controls. I hope this has been helpful. That engine has 2 of them and believe it or NOT. they are UNDERNEATH the intake manifold. You will have to remove the intake to even SEE them are to service them.
New AnswerFront door: similar from 2000 - 2005 Tools needed:regular & Phillips screwdrivers and a door panel V-shaped or GM "J type" removal tool is needed for the best results. If you are replacing the window regulator assembly a 10mm socket and medium length extension is needed.Pry triangular speaker housing loose from front corner of window. It has only 1 door panel type push-in fastener. Pry loose the door handle trim ring, starting at front. It will pop out at the front then slide it forward to remove it. Pry out safety "taillight" on rear edge of door (the red side of the lens). Remove the 2 screws behind door handle trim ring and "taillight". Pry panel away from door, starting at bottom and working to top. There are 7 clips that hold the panel to the door frame and 2 white dowels used for aligning the panel when replacing. Front top and bottom rear of the panel. Pull the panel away and remove the master wireing plug.Reinstalling the door panel:DO NOT forget to plug in the master plug wirieng harness on the back of the door panel and push the swing lock back into place. DO NOT forget to feed the red/white light harness through the door panel. DO NOT forget to feed the power lock wiring harness through the door handle opening in the panel. To secure the window in a closed position:For a temporary fix unplug the window motor. Slide the window all the way up but leave a little tolerance room. Use a small C-clamp approx. 3" or less and clamp it under the window onto the verticle track. This will hold the window in place until there is a remedy for the situation. If you just need the master window switch panel out, pry it up, starting at the front.I believe the rear door procedure is the same as the front, except no speaker housing and no screw behind "taillight".Answerautozone.com has online manuals that give step by step how to. Mitchell manuals nor Autozone online manuals covered this procedure.__ Edit 11/01/09___After an hour of online research and three phone calls to different mechanics we came to the conclusion that the GMC "J" tool is worthless and a waste of $10. It is suppose to help remove the push bolts that attach the side panel however with a flat head screwdriver and some brute force you can pull the door panel loose from the door. Start in the bottom right corner slide the screwdriver along until you find the first of 7 plastic bolts once located place one hand on each side of the bolt and pull and it will snap off, do same with the other 7 and lift the panel upward to expose the interior of the door.

on the 01, probably close enough to the same thing, remove the door panel, then you need the window about halfway down, there are two bolts that hold the window onto the regulator and two bolts on the bottom and two on the top of the regulator. it helps if someone can help hold the window, if not duct tape works pretty good.
