keepundoing bolts till the engine falls away and your left with just the head gasket
Follow top radiator hose toward engine. remove bolts holding housing to engine. remove housing. remove old thermstat & remember how it was in there. (spring toward engine) remove old gasket from emgine & housing. Now reinstall new gasket & thermstat
Well, if you take off the head,on the engine, you will see the gasket.
We had to rebuild our engine last year because of engine faliure at 70000 miles and the oil pan was the hardest. The frame is in the way and you have to lift the engine to remove the pan. Does it just need a gasket or new pan?
Drain the radiator. Remove the radiator hose. Remove the inlet from the engine. The thermostat is in the inlet. Replace the inlet and the gasket, and reverse the procedure to finish the procedure.
You unbolt the housing that the upper radiator hose hooks to. Remove it and remove the thermostat underneath. Clean off any old gasket, install new thermostat and gasket. Install housing. Fill coolant, warm engine and check for leaks.
According to Gates ( they make timing belts etc. ) the 3.0 L - V6 engine in a 1993 Dodge Spirit is NOT an interference engine ( it does use a TIMING BELT )
no it is not
I just got $250 for my 1995 Dodge Spirit in October 2011. I got the car off a friend when the orginal headgasket went bad at 120,000 miles. I had my mechanic replace the head gasket with a second one. The head gasket I had installed (second head gasket for vehicle) went bad 11,000 miles later. The Dodge Spirit is notorious for having head gasket problems. It wasn't worth putting a third head gasket on it. When a head gasket goes bad on these vehicles you can expect problems with the following: 02 sensor, thermostat, timing belt, and a possible cracked/warped head.
Jack up the vehicle support on jack stands. remove the starter. Then support the engine with a jack under the trans with a wood block. Remove the front engine mount. Then remove the 2 engine to trans brackets. Then remove the torque converter cover and then remove the oil pan. Replace gasket and install is reverse.
It is not a direct fit.
This question makes no sense. What gasket, and what is a Dodge Voger. Please ask a new question and include year, make, model, and engine size. This question makes no sense. What gasket, and what is a Dodge Voger. Please ask a new question and include year, make, model, and engine size.
