There are uphostlry clips all along the bottom of the grille attached to the bumper, the obvious top bolts or clips, I think three hidden clips in the center, then hidden screws behind corner marking lamps, its way better to cut the clips, the plastic grills are very brittle, autozone has a good illustration of the grille it will give you a good jumping off point. To remove the grill on a 1993 Toyota 4Runner, start by opening the hood and locating the screws or clips securing the grill to the front of the vehicle. Typically, there are several screws along the top and possibly some on the sides. Use a screwdriver or socket wrench to remove these fasteners. Once all screws are removed, gently pull the grill forward to detach it from the vehicle.
On the 93 the two top screws are are visable and easy to remove. To get at the two botom onea you have to remove/loosen some of the plastic grill. You have to remove the grill (entire piece that extends under both headlights), remove the headlight housing and then pop the headlight off the connectors.

give this a shot. Open the hood, remove the two top hex screws, remove the hex screw in the center of the grille. Then remove the turn signal lights to access the two screws that hide behind them. should pop right out after that.
