Pull the head rest as far as you can upward. there will be a button on one or both of the plastic pieces covering the holes where the headrest enters the seat. push these buttons in and pull the headrest upwards till it comes completely out of the seat.
take out inside the car
Remove the decorative cover to your 1997 VW tape player. Remove the tape player retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the tape player.
To remove the rear speakers on a 1997 Cadillac Sedan Deville, first remove the two screws under the plastic covers surrounding the rear speakers. Lift the plastic covering and the speakers should come off.
Cadillac stopped making the Coupe DeVille after 1993.
Perserverence paid off. 1. Raise Headrest 2. Unscrew 2 plastic retainer collars 3. Push down on cushion where guide post enter seat back and look for hairpin clips. (They are thin and difficult to see) Remove hairpin clips from each guide post and pull headrest up and out. A long thin needle nose pliers worked for me.
yes
Right under the rods of the headrest there is two round plastic pieces the rods go through. About one inch below the plastic pieces on the front of the seat even with the rods is the release. Press in and have someone pull up the headrest. You can follow the rods down the seat until you fell two small bumps. The bumps are the release for each side.
I'm going to assume that it is similar to the cover on the 1997 Deville Concours. In the '97 you simply 'pull up' on the cover. It has prongs that press and snap into receiver ports in the vehicle proper.
The era gap is huge when considering a 1990 Deville to a 1997, no way is it possible unless you have tons of time to make extreme modifications and LOTS of money.
