Drain coolant remove both coolant lines to the heater core at the firewall. Get new clip sets for the hoses usually one or both break when removing the lines. After that go inside the cab and drop the glove box down and remove the blend door actuator located above the air box. It has one connector and couple 8mm bolts holding it. It needs to be removed to allow clearance for core removal. Remove the series of bolts holding the core cover on and wiggle and twist the core out of its old home. Perform in reverse and refill coolant with 2gal coolant and 2gal water and don't froget the fw-16 or also called vc-8 coolant additive if green coolant is used. If gold is in cooling system the additive is not necessary. good luck.
