There's a product made by Maguire's called Plastix that will remove any scratches on the instrument panel lenses. I use it on my 03 Limited 4runner, including the headlight and tailight lenses. Cheers,

The gauges on the dash is the instrument cluster.

I located the instrument panel illumination lights on my 1990 Nissan D21 Pick-up by removing the clear plastic panel that protects the gauges and pulling the instrument panel forward. To do this, screws must be removed from the dash panel located around the instrument panel. There are also screws securing the clock adjustment knob and the glass/instrument panel itself. The bulbs twist into the backside of the instrument panel. There are several of them. Remove the instrument panel cover. Remove the instrument panel retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the gauges. The instrument panel will come out.
