I did it myself for the first time and it is quite simple. There are two latches on top of the area where the air filter is housed. It is on the right side. Unhook the latches then pull with a firm hand but slowly upward and away to move the one side. It is a tight squeeze but remove the filter then put the new one in. Remember which way it was. Slide the other side back in then flip the latches back.
