How do you remove the trim to get to the factory speakers in a 1980 Chevy silverado how about the trim over the 3x9's in a cab btwn the doors and back window. the plastic keeps breaking when i try?

you have to take the dash off there is 4 screws at the bottom edge of it on the passenger side of the dash and there should be one on the drivers side on the corner facing the door, you also have to take the cluster souround out there will be 8 screws for that. Once that is done remove the dash and the speaker is in the middle of the metal under where the dash sits
