there is a small U shaped clip behind the handle pull gently on handle while pushing gently on door panel have a friend shine a flashlight between the opening you created and you will see the clip push clip off with equally on both sides with two small screwdrivers or you can purchase proper tool from auto parts store for about 5 bucks when you replace handle put clip back on handle first then simply push back on you may have to be slightly aggressive.
