You have to remove the engine first from the car.
Place it on an engine stand and work your way on removing the cranksaft.
No way to remove it while the engine is in the car.

I don't think they made 1982 Trooper. It probably is 1992. If so, you can use 1992 to 2002 Trooper or 1996 to 1999 Acura SLX wiper motor
