I take it the "doesn't alternate with the other bulb" refers to the one front side marker being weaker than the front facing indicator light when that turn signal is on.. There is a ground fault in one of your wire connections into your taillight. This will also manifest itself as dash blinkers coming on when the brake is applied, a flashing of all taillights when the blinker and brakes are activated at the same time or when the daytime running lights are on and one bulb doesn't lite. It is usually a connector for your rear light assembly. Remove the plug from the tail light assembly starting with the side that have the problem. You will find that the pin to your ground will have a blackish tint to the pin (on the brake light assembly). Clean this pin and the corresponding plug recepticle with a brush, nailfile, sandpaper, etc. I added a tiny piece of tin foil to the plug in the ground pin hole to ensure a tight connection. Plug in the unit while not installed and see if that eliminates the blinker lights from coming on on the dash when the brakes are applied and/or the blinker is on and your blinkers alternate normally on the front side and front markers.
