Its a plug and play light. You just twist it to the left a little and pull it out.
To replace the parking light on a 2000 Lexus RX 300, first, open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Remove the screws or clips securing the assembly, then carefully pull it out to access the bulb socket. Twist the socket counterclockwise to remove it, then replace the old bulb with a new one, ensuring it's securely in place. Finally, reassemble the headlight assembly and test the new parking light.
On my 99-ES 300,there is a small screw under the vinyl strip on top of the grill. remove the screw and gently use screwdriver to prey against the bracket. The whole assemble comes out quite easily.

It's probably a problem with the ABS. New Response: It may be as simple as your parking brake cable in need of adjustment. To check...pull out the release handle while pulling upward on the parking brake pedal. If the light goes out... voila. Adjust the cable..
