first center and straight the front wheels (absulute), remove the lower sterring cover under the dash and the knee stop plate. Located the wiring harness connectors mounted on the colum and disconnect all (I hope you diconnected the neg. battery terminal first). located the slide pin just above the steering gear box and remove the retaining bolt. or if your replacement column has the flex connector remove the two bolts from there noting where the alignment pin is for the reintall. back to the inside remove the bolts holding the column under the dash. carefully remove the screws and dust boot at the fire wall.( some models will have a clamp intead of screws now slide the old coulmn out . BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW COLUMN....insure the vehicle wheels are straight, on the new or used column ,using the turn signal on off, center the wheel and lock into place. the enblem should be straight up in the normal placement, reverse above proceedures to install.
