First you should look at the car you owns owners manual to see the correct cylinder. After you purchase the correct cylinder you should again open the owners manual to see exactly where it goes and how to put it on. If you cant figure it out take it to a shop so you dont damage it
depends on the car, typically just the valve cover gasket though
more than the miserable car is worth
Yes
a seal (i.e seal) between the cylinder and the head on a car
You do not need to replace the cylinder you need to replace the whole car around it and sell me the whole car (that was around you good working cylinder) for cheap..like 2 bucks

remove head and replace gasket :)
No
It's in the cylinder head... If you are going to replace it don't... If you had to ask that, you shouldn't be driving or even be near any car...
about 1500 dollars
One, the cylinder head.
Begin by removing the cylinder head from your Chevrolet S 10 four-cylinder engine. Remove the head gasket and clean the surface. Put the new head gasket on and return the cylinder head to its original position.
