To replace the distributor in a 1995 Lexus GS 300, start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Next, remove any components obstructing access to the distributor, such as the intake manifold or wiring harnesses. Disconnect the electrical connector from the distributor and remove the mounting bolts. Finally, install the new distributor by aligning it properly with the engine's timing marks, securing it with the bolts, reconnecting the electrical connector, and reassembling any removed components before reconnecting the battery.

Could be the auto idle control valve, try cleaning before replacing (about $300). Another simpler possibility is the fuel filter, replace this first,

The cost to replace a distributor for a 1995 Honda Del Sol can vary based on location and labor rates, but typically a garage might charge between $300 to $600, including parts and labor. The distributor itself can cost around $100 to $250, while labor may range from $100 to $300 depending on the shop's hourly rate and the time required for the job. It's advisable to get quotes from multiple garages to ensure a fair price.
I don't know about 95, but on the 94, you have to take out the whole light assembly from the front. Take off the cover inside the hood from the top, expose the headlight bolts, remove the headlight. Good lucK!

The 95 models did not use or have a crank sensor. If you are not getting any fire at the plug wires, then you probley need to replace the ignition module that is inside of the distributor.
