My hard drive recently failed. had a short dst 303 error when I did a start up test (after many failed attempts at starting) and now i need a new hard drive I have an hp pavilion dv7 428dx (i can't remember the model number cuz I'm at work right now but it's something like that) my question is after I put a new one in how Do I get windows 7 back on it... I'm sure a factory restore won't work seeing how it's a new hard drive and I don't have any disks. I had geek squad set it up like 2yrs ago and my warranty is expired please help
If you can still your hard drive and there is no information on while you know that it was before than it was wiped. If hard drive does not work and malfunctioning it means that it is failing or has failed.
