I am currently replacing my one. You will need a phillips screwdriver to remove the panel below the steering column. There is a rubber grommet around the ignition switch that tries to hold the panel from pulling down. Simply pull it out, it is easy to put back in. Once you pull the cover down you will see the relay markedBL-10Z DOT to the right and slightly below the rear of the ignition/ steering lock mechanism. Grasp the sides with thumb and forefinger to release the locking thingies and pull it out. Well I'm off to go buy a replacement so the rest is up to you : )

The 2001 Monte Carlo emergency flasher relay switch and the turn signal flasher relay switch are the same. The flasher relay switch simply plugs in and out.
The turn signal flasher relay switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The turn signal flasher relay switch will be to the left of the brake pedal.
It is in the engine compartment next to the battery. It is in a black compartment that has a thumbscrew securing it. Look on the underside of the compartment lid for the exact location of the relay.
The Relay is in a hard to reach place under the dash, along with the fuel pump relay and some others.
