On a 2000 Infinity I30 when you turn on the headlights the instrument panel stereo and climate control lights all go out Why?
Its possible that your brightness for the dash lights and such is turned all the way down. Find the dimmer switch and turn it to a brighter setting and see if that works. Good luck!

Why would the dashboard lights and heater not work on an Infiniti I30 when headlights are on?
My Infinity has a dial type switch on the dash that rolls to the left or right. It makes the lights in the dash brighter and dimmer, also turns the inside overhead light come on, when doors aren't open, by turning it until it clicks. Most cars have this type switch around the headlight switch, but mine is near the gas cap opener. Good Luck!
