If you are referring to the Chevy Venture, it is relatively easy. Just remove the 3 wing-nuts that hold the assembly secure, and then pull the headlamp assembly out. I have a link that shows how to do this, with actual pictures.
Open hood, remove headlamp bulb from headlamp assembly, remove (1) 10mm bolt from top of headlamp assembly, next remove (3) 10mm bolts from behind headlamp assembly, pull headlamp forward ( you may have to pry gently from the right side). Remove turn signal bulb-Done!
1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the front air deflector. 3. Apply light pressure to the headlamp lens to hold the headlamp assembly in place while disconnecting the retainers. 4. Lift up the headlamp assembly retainers to release. Important: Note the location and position of the headlamp adjuster retainers and the locator tab. 5. Remove the headlamp assembly, pulling straight forward from the headlamp mounting panel. 6. Disconnect the wiring harness from the headlamp assembly. 7. Rotate the headlamp bulb/socket counterclockwise to release. 8. Remove the headlamp bulb/socket from the headlamp assembly, if required. There are (2) pull up clip retainers that hold the headlamp assembly in place...Both of these must be removed for the headlamp assembly to be pulled forward...:)
for the removal, pull of the upper radiator sight shield, make sure that the headlamp switch and the ignition switch are turned off, raise the headlamp assembly retainers by pushing rearward and then pulling up to save time. disconnect the headlamp assembly wiring harness and remove the headlamp assembly, install just do the reverse.
right this is pretty intense....you take off the old headlamp, right? then..get this! you put the new one on eeeh!
With the hood open remove the (2) two headlamp assembly bolts from the upper fascia support. Slide the headlamp assembly outward enough to release the headlamp bracket tabs from the slots in the upper fascia support. Position the headlamp assembly away from the vehicle body to access the electrical connector. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp assembly. Remove the headlamp assembly from the vehicle. If you wish to change the halogen bulb: Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp bulb/socket. Remove the headlamp bulb/socket retainer ring from the headlamp, by turning counterclockwise. Remove the headlamp bulb/socket from the headlamp assembly. . there are a couple mounting screws that hold the headlamp assembly on, unscrew them and the headlamp assembly should come out... and then you pull the connector off the headlamp by pulling up gently on the locking tabs and pulling back at the same time. then twist the locking ring, remove the old lamp and dispose of, replace w/new lamp and reverse directions. the lamp should only fit in the holder one way and there are notches in the headlamp assembly to make you insert it that way. some people with smaller hands can do this without removing the headlamp assembly but i have some bearclaws so i have to take the lamp out to replace the lightbulbs.
you dont either replace assembly or if covers are fogged have them buffed
Hi,The headlamp bulb is relatively easy to replace in these vans. What you have to do is remove the turn signal assembly first, and then the headlamp assembly. This is done by removing 3 wing nuts that hold the assemblies in, and then pulling the turn signal assembly straight out, followed by the headlamp assembly. The headlamp assembly has to be lifted UP and then Out.Once you have the assembly out, the headlight bulb can be unscrewed from the back of the assembly and replaced. Be careful not to get any oil from your fingers on the new bulb, as that will heat up when the light is on and decrease the lifetime of the bulb.I have included a link below that shows pictures of the assemblies and how to removed them.Take Care, Greg
undo the two 3/32 bolts running thru headlamp assemblies and remove headlamp assembly to access bulb
