How do you replace jsut the sliding part of rear truck window?

You have to buy the small panel of glass first if it's available, and then find a way to breake down the frame. That could be rivets,screws, or even a metal saw. but is usually more expensive than the whole slider itself. I am in auto glass and have only replaced a small panel once in 25 years. It is a pain and not worth the effor. Just buy a whole new unit.

you should probably find a place to run the power wire through the fire wall...there is usally a hole with a gasket surrounding it with factory wires already going threw it jsut punch a hole in it and feed your power wire threw....then ground it....this can usally be done any where metal on the truck...once grounded hook the power wire up...then find a place for you coax cable probably under the carpet and threw the sliding rear window....or door....or by making your own hole and hook it onto your whip or smaller anttena....but with the advent of the cell phone not much conversation goes on the civil broadcast

One of the common problems with the vous and Tek is the window regulator clips break. the dealers say you have to replace the whole unit at 160 bucks and not just the broken piece. but you can replace just the clips the the part numbers of the clips are: Clip - 15286776 Clip - 15286777 there are two clips per window a left and a right side. the dealer price i found was 26 dollars each. you can get them online for 15 but they usually charge a minimum 10 dollar shipping charge which brings it to 25 so watch the shipping charge. my Buick dealer didnt have these in stock but the Chevrolet had plenty so i assume these cover a wider range than jsut Buick and Pontiac. hope this helps clips are very easy to do When the clips are about to go the window does a few things it clicks when you roll it up or if the window is downa nd you slam the door itll rattle
