The "knock sensors" for the Avalon 3.0 are facing the firewall on the engine block just below the cylinder head ,their are two knock sensors .
Open the hood
under the intake manifold
I was told at Autozone it is a Knock Sensor Circuit
you have to remove the intake, and there are 2 knock sensors.
They are located down in the engine block valley. Accessing the knock sensors requires cylinder head removal..........sorry.
There's no need to replace knock sensors, and there was never a 3.6 engine.
Sienna's have two knock sensors located in the valley underneath the intake manifold. Replacement is a three hour job.
replace it.
There are two knock sensors on a 2001 Chevy 1500 with the 5.3 V8. You have to remove the intake manifold, because both of them are located under it. it is best to replace both knock sensors at one time, and you will need an intake manifold gasket too. the knock sensors (there are 2 of them) are located under the intake manifold on the 5.3 engine,,,,,requires complete removal of manifold to replace.
the knock sensors are located in the top of the engine block. The intake has to be removed to get to the sensors.
