there is no lower control arm on a 2500, I would assume you are talking about the lower link.... easy do one side at a time raise vehicle so wheels hang, might want to support axle but not nessary and unbolt... then reverse to get the other in..... one side at a time remember...... so the axle will not rotate on you....
I had to replace my lower controll arm on my 2500 all you need is a picklefork and a bfh hammer and or a air hammer it should work well
Caster is adjusted by turning the cam bolts on the lower control arms.

There is a good chance your fuel cap is loose, missing or damaged. Check it and replace if necessary.
