to replace the neutral safety switch on my 01 1500 Dodge ram i just unscrew the transmission pan bolt closest to the sensor so i can fit a "1 deep socket right into it. next i made sure i had an oil pan for any atf spill and the new nss ready. when i got the old one out i pluged the hole with my thumb with one hand and started screwing in the new one. after hand tighting it i used the socket to finish tighting it,(not sure what the torque spec is on it)
