when watches are made they are sealed with a gel that is not water soluble. that is so removal of the plate is made easier. you should first bring a large pot of water to just about boiling point not to hot because the internal components will not react well to intense heat especially if it contains springs, if it is a digital watch then boiling is fine. next drop the watch in the water for approximately 60 seconds or a minute. be sure to have a removal device ready before hand for safe removal. after you remove the watch just twist the face counter clockwise to remove. to reseal the watch replace the cover and squeeze firmly for about two minutes while it reseals. good luck.
It is one of only 3 possible ways. (1) If it popped off, simply snap it back on using equal pressure around the edge. Be careful, as some brands can be very difficult and may need a watch press to do the job. (2) Better watches have backs that screw back on. Again, be careful as the threads are very fine. The back of the case must be straight so that you do not screw it on crooked. Sometimes the case back has 6 or 8 notches in it so a special tool can be used to help you do this, but you can do it by hand. (3) Usually with very expensive watches, the back will have tiny screws to fasten the back to the case.
This type of watch requires a special wrench. If you look at the back of the watch, there are at least three indentations for the wrench, most likely six. This type of watch has a screw back, that is, the back is screwed on rather than just popped into the watch.
For best results, take your watch to a jewelry repair shop for battery replacement.
um i suggest you take it to a watch shop or watch maker and they should fix the problem
It is best to take your watch to a professional, so that you don't damage it.
In order to take a back off of a Kahuna watch, you must use a small Phillip's screwdriver and remove the tiny screws keeping the back in place. Once you have accomplished that, the back should easily slide off.
mine is a spin off back had to use needle nose pliers and spin the back on and off using the tips of pliers and the notches in the back
If you cannot get the back of your watch back on, to prevent any destruction or further damage, you should take the watch to a professional. anonymous@oola.com
If the watch has a snap on the back, one can simply use a sharp knife to twist off the back. If the watch has a screw back, a special wrench must be used.
Theoretically you can twist off the back using a watch case opener, but the one I am working on right now seems so old and corroded, it won't twist off. You do have to take out the strap pins and remove the band from the watch to twist off the back.
its on the back off a kelloggs box
the back of the watch case comes off but stem recesses into watch works preventing removal of watch works unless stem can be removed
I removed the back of a rectangular Ecclissi watch with a very small screw driver by prying from one of the watch band sides and using the watch band pin as a fulcrum. Inside it said made in China.
To change the watch crown, the back of the watch must be taken off. The inner workings of the watch are then removed, and the old crown taken out. The process is reversed to put the watch back together. Some of the fancier watches have a crown that can be unscrewed from the outside.
There should be four very small screws. You may have to go to a hardware store to get the appropiate screwdriver, but once you take them off you only need to pop the backing off and you're done.
Well no they go off to find food then come back :)
Mine unscrews, I just turned the back counter clockwise and it came off.
