How do you replace evpansion valve on 99 gs 300
remove and clean the idle air control valve( iac ), and or replace unit. located on back of throttle body housing. try this first.
A 1999 Dodge Ram does not have a water control valve.
You need to replace the valve cover gaskets.
The expansion valve should function normally as long as it is not contaminated and blocked with particles. Refrigerant and lubricants should be the only materials that are circulating through a normal AC system that is in good operating condition. When an AC compressor fails it CAN start throwing particles, little pieces of worn compressor. If an AC compressor has failed in a way that causes particles in the refrigerant, the entire system must be flushed and the expansion valve should be replaced. But realistically, even though many AC shops will just want to replace everything, you shouldn't need to replace the expansion valve if the refrigerant and oil are still clean.
Remove the transmission oil pan and valve body.
Remove the vacuum hose from the EGR valve. Pull the valve out of the air cleaner housing. Reverse the process to install the new valve.
On the firewall behind the intake. PITA to get to or even see for that matter
This depends on the motor size. By the way, if you have to ask this question, then it not something you'll be able to diagnose or replace.
it can be... u just need to know what your doing and it will be easy
look along the valve covers on the heads, there should be a small pipe that when pulled seems to go no where, that should be the PVC, it is a simple fix
You don't have an orifice tube but you do have an expansion block valve and its located bolted to the evaporator on the passengers side next to the firewall.................
Above the alternator. It is round and has a vacuum line connected to it. The fuel rail has to be removed to replace it.
