You can troubleshoot the rear air suspension of your 1990 Lincoln Town Car with a diagnostic tester. Most Lincoln dealerships have diagnostic testers.
1990 - 1997
No they will not.
The 1990 - 1997 Town Cars have the same Air Suspension. I have read about a lot of things that can go wrong. You can replace air bags and the pump. I bought a spring conversion kit on eBay for $115.
Then replace the battery.

No, it does not use a suspension. No, it does not use a suspension. No, it does not use a suspension.
On the Lincoln Continentals, the air suspension system works in sets of two. In the 1990 Continental (which I used to have) it was front and back. If one front air shock (or one rear one) has a serious leak, that end looses suspension. In the 1992 (which I have now) it is set up for side-to-side (passenger side or driver's side). If there is a leak anyplace on the driver's side, for instance, the whole side settles down to the fail-safe mode, which is still driveable. In fact, if you shut off the entire system (in the trunk), you will feel like you are riding in a Corvette.
The 1990 Honda Accord has front and rear strut assemblies. It is also a rear independent suspension (IRS). The Accord does/will need 4-wheel alignments for routine maintenance and or when replacing certain steering-suspension components
