Under wiper arm flap is a grub nut, Undo nut and use a Wiper arm removal tool (there not expensive approx £10) Remove Arm and Replace with New
There are two fuse boxes:Passenger Compartment: Pull the small flap under the glasses holder (small tray between steering wheel and door).Engine Compartment: Located in a black box to the right of the engine as you look at it.
If said gas lever is the lever that opens the filler flap, look in the glovebox. The gas lever the opens the filler flap, on a 1971 Super Beetle, is located on the inside wall, just above where the front passenger's right knee would be. This is right beside/below the glove box, against the wall. On mine it's a D-ring you pull, and the filler flap pops open. If you can't find the ring it may be broken off, and you'll need to replace the wire and ring. If you have the ring and the flap still doesn't open, the little spring that causes it to pop open may be missing or broken.
It is in the center console
on the petrol model there should be a flap you can access under the rear boot carpet. The pump is then located on top of the tank. On the diesel for some reason no access other than putting the car on ramps / axel stands and dropping the tank to access pump,

Scenic 1.. Inside the rear wing, there are 2 X 10mm nut. Normally covered in road crud. Clean them first and the saturate in wd-40. Leave a while and then undo. If the front of the bolt starts to spin on the inside of the filler flap, you have to either tear the plastic apart to grip the bolt or get creative with pliers.
'67 model year squareback has no external gas flap, the filler is under the hood on the top of the tank. The filler door on the passenger fender didn't come out until '68 for types 1 and 3.

It IS possible, but you must force the siphon tube past the spring loaded flap at the filler cap. You may have some trouble withdrawing the tube past this flap but a long bladed screwdrive holding the flap open should releasethe pressure on it enough to withdraw the siphon tube.
