# The fuel filter is mounted under the vehicle on the left side,in front of the gas tank # Relieve the fuel system pressure,then disconnect the negative battery cable # If necessary,raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands # Inspect the fittings at both ends of the filter to see if they're clean # Release the clips holding the fuel lines to the filter # Detach the fuel hoses,one at a time,from the filter.Be prepared for fuel spillage # After the lines are detached,check the fittings for damage and distortion. # Remove the fuel filter from the mounting bracket,while noting the direction the fuel filter is installed
