Depends on the year and model. My 86, also the 85 thru 93, is a 2 door. Under the rear passanger side seat is a cover. Its under the carpet. If you remove the cover you have access to the fuel pump. In my 92 4 runner 4 door with a V6 I have to drop the tank to get access to the pump.
