Look in your owners manual... If not then take a flat head screw driver and napkin and push the screwdriver up between the lens and housing and give it a little twist to pull down the lens to the light repeat on the other side
to change the lights you remove the dash cluster and replace the bulbs. the number for the bulbs are 197
Bulbs may be burnt out.
It sounds as if you have an electrical problem that needs to be checked. You may even have the wrong fuse for your brake lights.
On the lancer its easy just pop the trunk open find out which lights are out and take the screws out that hold the lights in place and pop the bulb out that isn't working by turning it and replace it.
It requires more power, RPM goes down when demand for power is higher especially if lights are on or air conditioning
If dome lights and sunroof of a Mitsubishi Galant are not working, it is probably due to blown fuse. It is time to replace old ones.
it means that one of the indicator blubs have blu which causes them to flash quickly
open the trunk and inside you should see the rear plastic panel of your lancer's tail lights. undo the screws(should be 3 screws/PC) using Philips screw driver and gently pull the assembly off. you should see 3 light bulbs. replace whichever is busted. make sure you install the correct bulbs for each socket.:) on an 03 lancer there are 2 screws and they are on the outside of the car when you open the trunk. remove then pull out assembly and change bulbs.
the fuses which opperate the brake lights are located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. the relays are to the left of the clutch in a white connection cluster.
Remove grill for better access. Then proceed to remove bulbs. The fog lights set inside casing. Unscrew them and replace bulbs. Return mechanism s and they should shine properly.
You can reset the check engine light on your Mitsubishi Triton TDI by removing the fuse. Keep the fuse out for 10 seconds and replace it to its original slot.
