If dome lights and sunroof of a Mitsubishi Galant are not working, it is probably due to blown fuse. It is time to replace old ones.
i am having the same problem with my galant.
where does the yellow wire with a black stripe on it connect for dimmer lights, panel lights, and gear shift lights, for a 2000 Mitsubishi galant
You cannot turn off the Daytime running lights on a Mitsubishi Galant without cutting the wire. This is because the car is set up to have these lights on at all times during operation.
I have changed the headlight but I need to adjust it as the lights don't hit the road
had the same problem on my 2000 galant. the bulb holder was not getting a good ground on the passenger side. i cut and wedged a piece of aluminum from a can between the bulb holder and where it fits into the light. both lights came on and worked fine. hope this helps.
check high/low beam relay and switch
The cruise control may not work is there is a problem with the brakes. Check to ensure that the cruise lights come on in the dash. Also, check all the vacuum lines to see if there is any issue.
i have found the answer in the owners manual on some galants and others the dealer had to do it hooked up to a computer.
Check the fuse or the wiring
There is a small plastic piece that rotts away after years of use. Any mechanic can replace it in 15 min.
Bulbs may be burnt out.
The Mitsubishi Galant has several warning lights on the dash and they are all outlined in the car's owner manual. Some of them include an exclamation point inside a semi-circle in indicate low tire pressure, a dip stick to indicate low oil, and a lightening bolt over an engine to indicate the car needs to be serviced for a possible problem.
