I had to do the same thing not long ago. Quite easy. Just take a very small screwdriver and use it to pry up the front center of the switch. It'll pop right out, unplug the cord connected to it, then pop off the faceplate off the actual motor/switch. Then put the faceplate on the new one. Simply connect the cord and pop it right back in. I have just a little indent in the front of the faceplate where I popped it out, but it is a very minor indent. A fairly easy fix.
The heater core is located in the middle of the dash behind the center console. You have to take the console out to see the heater core.
That'll be the carrier bearing. This happened with my Audi A6 quattro. On my model, it was more cost effective to replace the entire driveshaft than to pay for the labor to replace just the bearing.
Replace the transmission computer. Located under the center console.

The relay is a dark green color...located in the center console wiring, after you have the console apart, it would be located directly to the right of your right leg if you were sitting in the driver seat...good luck finding a replacement..kinda hard to find.
