To replace the radio in your car (hopefully if the '84s are made like the 85s) you would remove the ashtray and unscrew the 2 screws on both ends of the tray. Once those have been taken out, you can then remove the radio bezel (or faceplate). If you have the big radio knobs unscrew those too. You would then take a pair of pliers and unscrew the 4 bolts that support the radio. Once you unloose them the radio should slip right out. There are like 4 connectors that must be unconnected. **** Make sure when buying the wiring harness there are 3 connectors on the harness just like the one that came with the radio. (P.s. there won't be a ground connector with the new harness, but you should wrap the ground wires around the antenna wires and that will give you ground). Connect the radio like normal and you should have a nice sounding system. This is as close as I can get you. I just had my radio replaced and these were the steps we went through to get the ball rolling.

LOL! I would ask the question why the heck would you need an alarm on a 1984 Lincoln grand marquis?? :O
Knowing the firing order of a cars engine is apart of owning a car. The firing order of a 1984 Grand Marquis is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8.

To replace the fuel pump connectors in a 1984 Grand Marquis, first ensure the vehicle is off and the fuel system is depressurized. Access the fuel pump by removing the rear seat or the access panel in the trunk. Disconnect the old fuel pump connectors by pressing the release tabs and gently pulling them apart. Finally, connect the new fuel pump connectors, ensuring they are securely attached, and reassemble the access panel or seat.
Number one cylinder would be the first cylinder up front on the passenger side.
