You have to remove the rear tire and you will see the Rear ball joint pressure fit into a round bar the easiest way to get this out is to heat it with a blow torch and pound it with a hammer and chizzle. This should eventually pop it out and then the new one is much easier to replace.
Part Of Upper Control Arm
A 2002 Chrysler Sebring has an overhead cam engine. That means it does not have push rods.
It is near to where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine.
Depends on where you get it done but was $365 for me. Yuck!
It is under the housing where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine.
Ignition switch 2002 Chrysler sebring. Original key will not turn? Is there a fuse or replace the switch?
You will need to replace the upper control arm. My research has determined it is not possible to purchase the ball joint seperately. If you do happen to find the ball joint you will have to press the old one out of the control arm which can be a real pain. Autozone has a tool to do it with but I am opting to just change the control arm so the bushing are also new. Moog Part number for the Upper Ball Joint is K80008. This is WITHOUT the control arm. Changing the control may prove to be easier but will most likely be a dealer item.
It is not a direct swap. They use different transmissions, computers, wiring, etc.
