Usually, to replace any power mirror, you must first remove the inside door panel. From there you should have access to the rear of the mirror. There has to be some screws (usually 3 screws) holding the mirror in place. Also follow the wires from the mirror to where it is connected and disconnect.
This mirror is the driver's side mirror, power and heated. I need to know how to access the mounting bolts or studs to replace the mirror. Please give detailed insturctions with pics if possible. Thank you
The side mirror on my 2004 alero was knocked off. Its the passenger side mirror. How do you remove the mirror because the power cord attached to the mirror is still attached.

start by removing the inner panel on the door.now disconnect the power wire plug. there should be three 10mm nuts holding the mirror on. unbolt the nuts and remove mirror. replace in same fashion. very simple procedure.
See link below
It is bolted on from the inside of the door.
you probaly can't do it yourself so take it to a shop that can and if they have something to replace it with.
the mirror should just pop out, remove the two heating wires and install the new mirror
The mirror is held on by bolts on the inside of the door.
