first thing you need to do is disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
there are 2 bolts that hold the starter in place on the transmission. remove these and the starter will come right off. remove the wires connected to the starter and out it comes. installation is opposite. JUST BE SURE NOT TO OVER TIGHTEN WIRES and crack the solenoid if its got one on the starter (most fords are separate)
