Follow the upper radiator hose down to the engine. It is attached to the thermostat housing . There will be two bolts attaching the housing to the engine. Remove these bolts, and with a little effort (prying), the housing will come off. There will probably be brackets, wires, or other items which will have to be removed in order to get to the bolts. Installation is just the reverse, and be careful you don't get the bolts too tight.
Always remember how the thermostat is sitting, replacement should be put in same way as the old one.

Look where the top radiator hose connects to the engine(water pump).
right on top on the intake. it is where to top radiator hose connects to the motor.
In the connection at the radiatorhose and waterpump Follow the upper radiator hose out of the radiator. When that hose connects to your engine, the thermostat is in there.
Its located under the throttle body or follow the upper radiator hose til it hits a semi round housing. There is 2 bolts to remove it. First you have to drain the radiator fluid of course. I am changing the thermostat right now on my 2001 Chevy lumina and I see I will have to also remove the throttle body to get to the thermostat housing
the location of the thermostat is under the throttle body.before you put it back on you need to buy some gasket sealer or a gasket for the thermostat
